Condoleezza Rice Apologizes to 9/11 Families for Us Failure To Prevent Terror Attacks

Condoleezza Rice, who served as national security adviser to former President George W. Bush during the 9/11 attacks, made a speech at the Pentagon highlighting her memories from that day 25 years ago.

Condoleezza Rice admitted she carries “deep personal remorse” for not doing enough to prevent 9/11. “Those of us in authority on that day did not see the nature of the danger in time to prevent the attack of 9/11,” she said at the memorial ceremony at the Pentagon.

"We reflect not just on what happened here but what people in that moment of crisis did here," she said.
