Israeli airstrikes on a village in southern Lebanon kill 12 people, including 2 children

A series of Israeli strikes across southern Lebanon since Friday night have killed and wounded dozens of people, including women, children, and paramedics, despite a US-brokered ceasefire.

Lebanon says a recent Israeli escalation is jeopardising a US-brokered ceasefire meant to end the conflict between Israel and Hezbollah.

Israeli airstrikes killed at least a dozen people, including two children, in southern Lebanon early Monday as renewed fighting between Israel and Hezbollah puts a U.S.-brokered truce on shaky ground. Two strikes hit the village of Kfar Rumman, according to Lebanon’s Health Ministry.

Israel strikes sent smoke billowing over villages and towns in southern Lebanon on Sep 7 as the bombardment intensified despite a June ceasefire with Hezbollah. Footage filmed from Marjayoun captured explosions and thick plumes rising across the area.
