Yemen’s Houthis promise US not to expand Iran war to Red Sea at secret Oman summit

Yemen’s Houthis have agreed to allow US shipping unfettered Red Sea access if Washington refrains from military action.

American diplomats met over the weekend with Houthi representatives at the U.S. embassy in Oman and discussed tensions in the Red Sea, a regional source familiar with the issue confirmed.

If lasting peace is to be achieved, then North Korea must be seen as a legitimate partner in diplomacy and not simply a threat.

Yemen's Iran-backed Houthi movement promised US officials that it would only attack Saudi Arabian ships and otherwise allow commercial traffic in the Red Sea during a secret summit in Oman over the weekend, according to reports.
